Deck Watch Keepers Certificate of Competency Class 3 (AUSTRALIA)
Introduction:
This
course is run in 3 phases, in collaboration with the Hunter-TAFE,
Newcastle, Australia and under the seal of approval of Australian
Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). All successful candidates will also
be offered the Australian DIPLOMA IN TRANSPORT AND DISTRIBUTION making
this course hugely popular amongst our students.
Course Structure:
Phase 1: 3 months pre sea course at our training institutes
Phase 2: 18 months sea time on board
merchant ships, along with a approved Distance Learning programme and Training
Record Book
Phase 3: 5 months Deck Watch Keepers Certificate of Competence Preparatory Course at Hunter-TAFE, Newcastle, Australia
leading to the candidate obtaining his Class 3 CoC from AMSA and Diploma from Hunter-TAFE
Entry Requirements:
GCE
A Level or 10+2 equivalent with Science or Commerce stream. Diploma students will also be considered for enrollment
All
students will be required to complete the STCW Modular courses as a
part of this phase
Medical and Eye Sight requriements as per IMO/AMSA
IELTS requirement as per Australian Government (currently 5.5 at Academic Level)

Introduction:
This
course is run in 3 phases, in collaboration with the New Zealand
Maritime School and under the seal of approval of Maritime New Zealand.
A hugely popular course, our young officers after obtaining their
Certificate of Competency from New Zealand have been in great demand in
the industry and are now sailing in some of the most prestigious
shipping companies of the world.
Course Structure:
Phase 1: 3 months pre sea course on board our Training Ship OR at our shore based institutes
Phase 2: 18 months sea time (15 months if
pre sea training attended on the training ship) on board
merchant ships, along with a Distance Learning programme and Training
Record Book
Phase 3: 5 1/2
months Certificate of Competence Preparatory Course at New Zealand,
leading to the candidate obtaining his Class 3 CoC from Maritime New
Zealand.
Entry Requirements:
GCE
A Level or 10+2 equivalent with Science or Commerce stream.
All
students will be required to complete the STCW Modular courses as a
part of this phase, prior to joining the vessel
Medical and Eye Sight requriements as per IMO/Maritime NZ

Certificate of Competency Marine Engineer Class 3 (Motor) Unlimited (NEW ZEALAND)
Introduction:
This
course is run in 3 phases, in collaboration with the New Zealand
Maritime School and under the seal of approval of Maritime New Zealand.
A hugely popular course for the graduate engineer's wishing to make an
entry into the maritime profession, our young engineer's are in huge
demand within the industry.
Course Structure:
Phase 1: 4 months course (workshop and machinery) pre sea course and STCW Modular Safety Courses
Phase 2: 6 months sea time on board
merchant ships with propulsion power more than 750kW
Phase 3: 3
months Certificate of Competence Preparatory Course at New Zealand,
leading to the candidate obtaining his Marine Engineer's Class 3 CoC from Maritime New
Zealand
Entry Requirements:
BE (Mechanical, Electrical or Production) from an AICTE accredited University.
Other candidates (from non AICTE Universities) will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Medical and Eye Sight requriements as per IMO/Maritime NZ
